We are looking for a dynamic and results-driven Sales - Assistant Manager to expand our footprint in the Indian market for sawn timber and plywood . This role requires a sales professional with strong industry connections, product knowledge, and the ability to independently manage client relationships and drive revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities :
- Identify and develop new business opportunities in sawn timber and plywood segments
- Manage and grow relationships with distributors, dealers, and key accounts
- Understand customer requirements and provide tailored solutions
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities to inform sales strategy
- Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets
- Coordinate with internal supply chain and logistics teams to ensure timely deliveries
- Participate in trade fairs, exhibitions, and client meetings as needed
Desired Profile :
4–5 years of B2B / B2C sales experience in timber, plywood, or allied building materialsStrong understanding of timber products, especially in South and North India marketsExcellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skillsSelf-motivated with a track record of meeting or exceeding targetsAbility to travel across regions as per business needsPreferred Qualification :
Graduate from the Forest Research Institute (FRI) or related academic background in forestry / wood sciences will be a strong plus
