Ghilgai Steiner School is a small, well established P-6 school located at the foot of Mount Dandenong in the outer eastern suburbs of Melbourne.

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Steiner teacher to take a small class on their journey through primary school.

Selection criteria

• A commitment to Steiner education, with qualifications or other expertise in this area
• VIT registered teacher
• A wish to discover and work with the unique aspects of Ghilgai’s curriculum
• Solid literacy and numeracy skills, plus confidence to work across a range of subject areas
• Strong behaviour and classroom management skills
• Well organised with strong planning and documentation abilities
• Excellent interpersonal skills with children, colleagues and parents
• Dynamism, initiative and a wish to contribute to the wider cultural life of the school and community
