Aruba Network Engineer - L2

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Network Engineer – L2 to join our IT infrastructure team in Bangalore. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in managing Aruba wireless solutions, ClearPass Policy Manager, and network switch infrastructure. As a Level 2 Network Engineer, you will play a key role in maintaining seamless network connectivity, optimizing performance, and supporting enterprise-grade wireless and wired network systems.

Key Responsibilities

Administer and support enterprise wireless networks , primarily Aruba Wi-Fi solutions.

Manage and troubleshoot Aruba ClearPass Policy Manager (CPPM) for secure network access control.

Configure, monitor, and maintain Aruba Central for centralized network management.

Perform L2-level administration and troubleshooting of HP and Aruba switches .

Provide Level-2 support to resolve complex network performance and connectivity issues .

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high network availability and reliability.

Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations, incidents, and standard operating procedures .

Optional) Support and administer Extreme Networks Wi-Fi environments, if applicable.

Requirements

Must-Have Skills :

Hands-on experience in Aruba Wi-Fi engineering at L2 level.

Proficient in Aruba ClearPass Policy Manager – administration and troubleshooting.

Experience with Aruba Central – configuration and operational administration.

Strong understanding and hands-on experience in HP and Aruba switches at L2 support level.

Nice-to-Have :

Exposure to Extreme Wi-Fi environments (added advantage).

Professional Qualifications :

2–5 years of experience in a similar role handling enterprise network infrastructure.

Relevant certifications such as Aruba Certified Switching Professional (ACSP) or HP Networking Certification preferred.

Soft Skills :

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Ability to work under minimal supervision and handle escalated network issues effectively.
