Job Title : Planning Engineer (Oil & Gas, Substation Project)

Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and manage detailed project schedules for oil & gas substation projects using Primavera P6, including creation of Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), key milestones, and timelines aligned with project deliverables.
- Monitor the progress of substation construction and commissioning activities, providing regular status updates to project management. Highlight deviations or potential delays and recommend corrective actions.
- Plan and allocate resources effectively, including manpower, equipment, and materials, to ensure timely execution of substation works within the defined budget.
- Identify schedule risks specific to substation projects (e.g., equipment delivery delays, utility coordination, permit issues) and implement mitigation strategies.
- Coordinate and communicate with EPC contractors, client representatives, engineering teams, and construction personnel to manage changes in project timelines or scope.
- Evaluate and analyze the impact of scope changes, resource fluctuations, or external factors on the overall project schedule, and update plans accordingly.
Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical EngineeringMinimum 5 years of experience working on EPC substation projects within the Oil & Gas sector in Saudi Arabia.Strong proficiency in Primavera P6.Familiarity with Saudi Aramco or similar oil & gas project standards is an advantage.Solid understanding of project planning principles, critical path method (CPM), earned value management (EVM), and resource leveling techniques.
