Role Description

This is a remote contract / hybrid role for a MongoDB Atlas Expert. The expert will be responsible for designing, managing, and optimizing MongoDB Atlas development, deployments, ensuring data security, and maintaining database reliability. Key tasks include database development, vector search, performance tuning, data migration, and implementation of backup solutions. The expert will collaborate with development teams to support scalable applications and troubleshoot issues promptly.

Qualifications

Proficient in MongoDB Atlas, database architecture, and cloud deployment strategies

Experience in performance optimization, scalability testing, and indexing MongoDB databases

Expertise in data modeling, schema design, and data migration strategies

Expertise in Atlas search (vector search)

Knowledge of database security, backup and restore processes, and data replication

Ability to work collaboratively with development teams on cloud adoption and integration

Excellent debugging, troubleshooting, and organizational skills

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field

MongoDB-related certifications are an added advantage
