Job description

Chief Architect reporting to the CTO or part of the leadership team, in a SaaS / digital commerce / supply chain tech company. It demands deep technical leadership, a visionary mindset, and hands-on architecture skills, particularly in Order management.

Role overview :

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering or a related field; Master's degree strongly preferred.
  • Proven experience in Technical Architecture leadership roles especially in high-growth start-ups
  • Strong understanding & POV on recent AI / ML advancements and experience in leading an Engineering team in these areas
  • Entrepreneurial mindset of leading from the front along with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong ability to translate business needs into technical solutions that are scalable & reusable in different client scenarios
  • Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and coordination abilities
  • Direct responsibility for delivery and quality of SaaS or similar software offerings
  • In-depth knowledge of cloud technologies, infrastructure planning, and best -in-class engineering practices

Desired Skills :

  • At least 10+ years in technology leadership roles
  • Minimum 4 years of experience delivering complex enterprise software solutions
  • Domain experience in Digital commerce or supply chain areas

    • What would you do here :

    Technical Leadership :

  • Oversee the design, development, and deployment of complex platforms & solutions, ensuring alignment with the company's and our clients' business goals.
  • Define and continuously refine engineering processes and best practices to enhance solution quality and speed of delivery.
  • Drive the vision & adoption of the latest AI advancements in our platforms, solutions, and processes towards the goal of improving outcomes & productivity by 5-10x
  • Collaborate closely with project managers and client stakeholders to clarify requirements, set delivery timelines, and ensure customer satisfaction.

    • Platform & Service Integration :

  • Ensure the technical architecture of the NOMS platform is built in an abstract and generic way to enable easy & seamless extension into customized client solutions.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance and adapt existing platform functionality based on client requirements and changing market demands.
  • Ensure continuous improvement in both platform and service offerings, driving operational efficiency and scalability.

    • Architecture & Cloud Infrastructure :

    Make strategic decisions on cloud architecture, tooling, and technology stacks to deliver robust, cost-effective, and scalable client solutions.

  • Oversee the planning, deployment, and monitoring of cloud infrastructure to maintain high availability, security, and performance standards.
  • Drive best-in-class processes to ensure system reliability, including proactive monitoring and rapid incident response.

    • Team Building & Management :

  • Lead and inspire cross-functional teams (software & test engineers, AI / ML & data scientists, cloud engineers, etc.) to deliver customer-focused solutions on time and within budget.
  • Set high hiring standards and assessment processes, fostering a diverse, inclusive, and high-performing team culture.
  • Provide regular feedback, mentorship, and skill development opportunities, ensuring that the team maintains top-tier engineering practices.

    • Stakeholder Engagement :

  • Serve as the primary technical representative in sales discussions, helping translate business requirements into technical architectures and clear development plans.
  • Articulate Nextuple's technology vision and architecture to clients, partners, and investors, highlighting the value, scalability, and security of Nextuple's platforms & solutions.
  • Collaborate with leadership, HR, Operations, and Client Services to align technology initiatives with broader business objectives.

    • Compliance & Thought Leadership :

  • Ensure SOC2 and other compliance requirements are met client requirements.
  • Respond promptly to client or prospect InfoSec and other security questionnaires, maintaining trust and transparency with customers.
  • Encourage the team to pursue patents and publications, expanding Nextuple's intellectual property portfolio.
