Search Engine Optimization Team Lead

Job descriptionManage and mentor a team of SEO specialists. Track team KPIs, productivity, and performance. Conduct regular check-ins, reviews, and skill development sessions. Ensure adherence to documented workflows and SOPs. Identify inefficiencies and implement process improvements. Collaborate with other departments to standardize best practices. Monitor account performance and identify opportunities or early signs of decline. Coordinate with the strategy team to ensure execution aligns with strategic goals. Proactively suggest SEO tactic changes based on industry trends and algorithm updates. Interact with clients to explain SEO results, address concerns, or provide support. Represent the SEO execution team in internal and client-facing meetings. 2–4 years of experience in SEO, including at least 1 year in a leadership role. Strong understanding of Website SEO and Local SEO. Proven success in driving SEO growth and resolving ranking / content / technical issues. Ability to manage and delegate tasks across multiple team members. Proficiency with tools like Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Ahrefs, SEMrush, BrightLocal, etc. Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Strong ownership mindset and a solution-driven approach. High attention to detail with strong quality control practices. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, agency-style environment. Passionate about staying updated on SEO trends and algorithm changes.
