Job description

Job Purpose :

The primary function of the Operations Manager is to oversee and optimize daily operational activities across multiple departments, ensuring efficiency, productivity, and adherence to company standards.

The ideal candidate will possess a sharp business acumen, a proven track record of successfully managing diverse teams, and a strong ability to implement and improve operational processes to maximize organizational effectiveness.

This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent leadership and communication skills, capable of driving performance within a time-sensitive environment.

Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Maintain constant and effective communication with managers, team leaders, and staff across departments to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of all company activities.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain robust quality assurance protocols and standards to ensure consistent high-quality output and service delivery.
  • Proactively identify areas for improvement within existing processes and procedures, and develop and implement strategies to enhance the company's internal capacity and operational efficiency.
  • Ensure that all operational activities and projects remain on schedule, within budget, and meet established performance targets.
  • Track current and future staffing requirements, proactively identify gaps, and initiate requests for recruitment and onboarding as needed, ensuring adequate resource allocation across

departments.

  • Lead, motivate, and support a large and diverse team within a fast-paced and demanding environment, fostering a positive and productive work culture.
  • This includes providing guidance, coaching, and development opportunities to team members.
  • Manage the collection and analysis of operational data to update key performance indicators (KPIs), track progress towards productivity targets, identify areas for improvement, and ensure the delivery of excellent customer service.
  • Conduct regular budget reviews, monitor expenditures, and report cost plans and variances to upper management, ensuring operational activities are cost-effective.
  • Effectively delegate responsibilities to team members while maintaining overall organizational control of branch operations and customer service standards.
  • Collaborate effectively with other departments (e.g., Sales, Customer Service, Finance) to ensure seamless operational flow and alignment with overall company objectives.
  • Identify and resolve operational issues and challenges in a timely and effective manner, minimizing disruptions and ensuring business continuity.
  • Ensure operational activities comply with relevant industry regulations, company policies, and legal & Graduation in any stream with a minimum of 50% marks.
  • MBA (Master of Business Administration) Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Mandatory two or more years of proven success in an operations management role, demonstrating increasing responsibility and impact.
  • Experience in the Aviation industry is a significant added advantage, with a strong understanding of aviation operations and regulations.
  • Aptitude for learning and utilizing new software applications and technologies relevant to operations management.
  • Strong familiarity with business and operations principles, practices, and methodologies.
  • Exceptional leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to motivate and manage large teams effectively.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
