The Opportunity
We're hiring our first marketing hire - a Senior Marketing Manager who will build and own Axy's entire marketing function from the ground up. This is a rare opportunity to shape marketing strategy across two distinct products serving the global scientific community :
B2B Product : Experience platform for scientific conferences
B2C Product : Consumer app for researchers and academic communities
You'll start as a hands-on executor, building strategies and running campaigns yourself. As we grow, you'll hire and lead a team, with potential to grow into leadership roles as the company scales.

Building marketing from zero to one

What You'll Do
In Your First 3 Months Develop comprehensive marketing strategies for both B2B and B2C products
Launch campaigns to drive user acquisition for our consumer product
Build sales enablement assets (case studies, decks, messaging) for our B2B product
Set up marketing infrastructure : website optimization, analytics, email marketing, ad platforms
Create content that resonates with researchers and scientific organizations
Run experiments across channels to find product-market-channel fit
In Your First Year Own and hit growth targets for both products (users, pipeline, revenue influence)
Build repeatable acquisition channels and growth loops
Establish Axy as a recognized brand in the scientific community
Launch and optimize performance marketing campaigns
Create viral mechanics and referral programs for B2C growth
Support sales team with ABM campaigns and demand generation for B2B
Begin hiring your first team members as we scale
As You Grow Build and lead the marketing team (growth, content, design, demand gen)
Shape company-wide go-to-market strategy
Own brand positioning and messaging across all products
Scale marketing operations to reach millions of researchers globally
Grow into a leadership role (potential path to CMO as company scales)
What We're Looking For
Must-Haves 1. 5+ years of marketing experience with strong B2C growth marketing background
You've driven user acquisition, activation, and retention for consumer products
You know how to build viral loops, referral programs, and growth flywheels
You're comfortable with performance marketing (Google Ads, Facebook, paid social)
You understand product-led growth and know how to optimize funnels
2. Hands-on execution skills
You can write compelling copy, design campaigns, set up ads, and analyze data yourself
You don't need a team to get things done - you roll up your sleeves
You're scrappy and resourceful, making the most of limited budgets
3. Data-driven mindset
You live in analytics, run experiments, and make decisions based on numbers
You can set up tracking, build dashboards, and report on what matters
You understand metrics like CAC, LTV, viral coefficient, conversion rates
4. Strategic thinking
You can build marketing strategies from scratch
You know how to prioritize channels and allocate resources
You can balance short-term execution with long-term brand building
5. Startup mentality
You thrive in ambiguity and fast-paced environments
You're comfortable with changing priorities and wearing multiple hats
You take ownership and deliver results with minimal supervision
Nice-to-Haves Experience marketing to academic, research, or scientific audiences
B2B / enterprise marketing experience (ABM, sales enablement, demand gen)
SaaS or tech product marketing background
Experience building marketing teams from 0→1
Understanding of SEO, content marketing, and community building
Design skills or ability to create basic marketing assets
