Job description

THIS IS A LONG TERM CONTRACT POSITION WITH ONE OF THE LARGEST, GLOBAL, TECHNOLOGY LEADER .

Looking for experienced Ruby on Rails developer (3+ yrs) with strong React skills and CI / CD exposure, sought for modernizing legacy systems and building full-stack features. 5–7 years overall experience preferred, Bangalore hybrid role (open to other locations).

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with Ruby on Rails, across multiple major versions
  • Good understanding of frontend libraries, preferably React
  • Familiarity with CI / CD pipelines and DevOps practices
  • Experience in working on and maintaining legacy systems

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
  • 5+ years of overall professional software development experience
  • Strong proficiency in Ruby on Rails (3+ years) and familiarity with React
  • Experience managing technical debt, addressing security vulnerabilities, and modernizing legacy codebases
  • Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and performance optimization skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional and distributed teams

    • Responsibilities

  • Migrate older Ruby on Rails applications to the latest Rails version
  • Collaborate with the frontend team to deliver full-stack features
  • Integrate backend endpoints with external web services
  • Monitor, debug, and improve Rails server performance
  • Work within a CI / CD environment using Jenkins and Spinnaker
