About the Role :
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven US Logistics Operations Manager to oversee and optimize day-to-day logistics activities, drive individual sales performance, and lead a team of Freight broker professionals.
The ideal candidate should have a strong background in US-based logistics, Freight Broker, freight forwarding, or transportation services, with proven experience in managing operations and sales simultaneously.
Key Management :
- Oversee daily US logistics operations, including freight movement, carrier coordination, and client deliveries.
- Ensure compliance with US DOT regulations, company policies, and customer service standards.
- Monitor KPIs and take corrective actions to ensure service excellence and efficiency.
- Coordinate with vendors, clients, and internal teams to resolve operational issues promptly.
Sales & Business Development :
Proactively generate new business opportunities and close individual sales to meet revenue targets.Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their logistics needs and providing tailored solutions.Prepare and present customized proposals, quotes, and service plans.Collaborate with the sales team to align goals and share market insights.Team Leadership :
Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of logistics coordinators and support staff.Conduct performance reviews, provide training, and foster a high-performance culture.Set team goals and ensure alignment with overall business objectives.Troubleshoot team challenges and encourage a collaborative work and Skills :Bachelors degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.Minimum 4 years of experience in US logistics operations, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.Strong understanding of US transportation regulations, freight systems, and carrier networks.Proven track record in individual sales, client management, and achieving revenue goals.Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.Proficiency in logistics software, TMS platforms, and Microsoft Office Experience working in a 3PL or freight brokerage environment.Existing network of US-based shippers or clients.Ability to work flexible hours to support US time zonesref : iimjobs.com)
