Ascendion - Technical Engineering Manager - AWS Data Platform

About the Role :

We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Tech Engineering Manager with a strong background in AWS data services and Snowflake to lead our data engineering and analytics initiatives. This is a critical leadership role that requires a unique blend of deep technical expertise, proven project management capabilities, and exceptional people leadership skills. You will be responsible for driving the design, development, and delivery of robust data solutions, managing a high-performing team, and acting as a key liaison with client stakeholders. This role operates in a hybrid model from our Bangalore or Chennai offices.

Key Responsibilities :

Technical Leadership & Architecture :

• Lead the architectural design and implementation of scalable, high-performance data pipelines, data warehouses, and data lakes on AWS and Snowflake.
• Ensure the adoption of best practices for data ingestion (ETL / ELT), data modeling, data quality, data governance, and data security.
• Possess a strong and recent (within the last 1 year) hands-on understanding and experience with AWS data services (e.g., S3, Glue, Redshift, Lake Formation, Kinesis, Lambda, Athena) and Snowflake (including Snowpipe, streams, tasks, stored procedures, performance tuning).
• Stay abreast of emerging data technologies and trends, evaluating and recommending their adoption to enhance our data capabilities.
• Fluently articulate complex data and analytics concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences, translating business requirements into effective technical solutions.
