Responsibilities
This position supports the financial systems team in the prioritization, assessment, selection, planning, execution, maintenance, and support of Workday Financials, as well other financial systems, both 3rd party and proprietary, used by the Company across the globe.
This position will also build partnerships with teams in Finance, IT, and Human Resources to help accomplish goals and objectives.
- Workday Financials system management (including, but not limited to, maintenance and configuration of allocations; creation, maintenance, testing, and review of integrations to 3rd party systems)
- Assist team with maintenance of metadata, business processes, security groups, and user-raised support tickets for Workday Financials and other financial systems
- Adhere to established Service Level Agreements for support tickets and delivering on commitments
- Lead the implementation, configuration, testing, integrations, maintenance, monitoring, support, tax and reporting compliance, integrity of internal controls and generally accepted accounting principles, and issue resolution of all proprietary and 3rd party financial systems, such as Workday, Ascend, Appzen, Xignite, Ceridian Tax Services
- Encourage and support team initiative(s) to enhance user involvement and knowledge of the financial systems
- Partner with diverse stakeholders to design, test, implement, and maintain best practices for systems and processes within the configuration of Workday
- Partner with business gathering requirements, developing fit / gap analysis, training on new features, and providing adoption recommendations of new or deprecated functionality from Workday Financials releases and updates
- Configure, test, and implement new features and / or enhanced functionality for Workday Financials
- Collaborate and partner with users to ensure financial systems are leveraged to drive efficiencies
- Assist team with completion of user acceptance testing for Workday feature releases to ensure key user stakeholders understand changes
- Develop, configure, and modify custom Workday financials reports and dashboards
- Participate in implementations, upgrades, integration, support, and enhancement of financial systems
- Prepare, summarize, and timely submit external auditor requests related to IT / support of financial systems
- Partner with external contractors for 3rd party support when necessary
Accounting / Finance Functional Knowledge Requirements
General accounting knowledge of Financial Statements including Balance Sheets, Income Statements, and Trial BalancesGeneral understanding of system consolidation with varying ledger and reporting currencies and complex intercompany transactionsSolid understanding of Accounting & Finance processes and concepts, and general accounting operations (Procure to Pay, Order to Cash, Treasury, Banking) and complianceQualifications
Bachelors degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Accounting, Finance, or related field10 years of experience in a financial system administrator role5 years of experience with Workday Financials including functional configuration, testing, business process optimization, and maintenance for Core Financials, Procurement, Expenses, and Assets.Proficiency in Excel (can perform complex functions)Analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detailStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to focus and deliver on key deliverables in an environment with competing, multiple prioritiesExcellent organizational and collaboration skillsAbility to work through complex issues and challengesPreferred Skills
