Senior Associate Operations

Payments ExecutiveThese are the core responsibilities : Process incoming and outgoing payment transactions accurately timeously and with awareness of cut off times for the respective countries and payment types. Work closely with the wider Business Operations Team to ensure payments are authorized within the above cut off times. Where necessary investigate and assist with resolving payment queries ensuring we put the customers best interest first. Liaise with various banks as required for example contacting the bank if there is insufficient information on a payment. Ensure all correspondence in connection with customers is recorded in the Client Relationship Management system (CRM) Raise any system incidents that occur to the Trading Application Support Team (TAS) and follow up continuously until the issue is resolved. Work closely with Reconciliations team to resolve outstanding breaks. Maintain personal and professional development to meet the changing demands of the role including all relevant regulatory and legislative training for example Global Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) and Anti Money Laundering (AML). Work shifts as required to cover the opening hours of the Payments Team based in the UK which are 07 : 00- 18 : 00. Undertake such other duties as may reasonably be required and which is consistent with the general level of responsibility of this Operations Market DataResponsibilities : Ensure accurate timely processing and reconciliation of market data invoices; Maintain accurate information in the Inventory database (FITS) for example including prices increase users names and departments to enable us to service the business in a timely manner; Preparation of monthly reports : o Review and interpret the raw data to facilitate reporting to Exchanges;o Input to the production of monthly market data MI Reports; Actively participate in project work for example setting up a new dataset for CMC Stockbroking; Manage the Market Data Team inbox and assign tasks to appropriate team member and monitor progress; Work with Finance Department : o To ensure accruals and monthly reports are accurate;o Support budgets and forecasting; Support the Institutional Team to interpret approve costs and assign costs within the Inventory database; Interact with key external suppliers to request information and resolve day-to-day queries for the business; Maintain personal / professional development to meet the changing demands of the role including all relevant regulatory and legislative training; When dealing with all customers clients or colleagues ensure that we provide a clear fair and consistent high quality service that presents a professional and positive image of CMC Markets; Take all reasonable steps to ensure appropriate confidentiality; Undertake such other duties training and / or hours of work as may reasonably require and which are consistent with the general level of responsibility of this Payable AnalystKey Responsibilities Process validate and reconcile vendor invoices including market data vendors custodians PSPs and suppliers. Ensure compliance with internal policies and accrual-based accounting standards. Support payment processing by preparing AP payment files for approval and liaising with Payments team. Ensure compliance with 2-step authorization and MFA requirements on payment platforms. Maintain vendor master data and support reconciliations of vendor accounts and banking platform access. Prepare monthly AP reports and support budget / forecasting activities with accurate vendor cost data. Collaborate with Market Data Payments Reconciliations and Finance teams to ensure smooth vendor payment cycles. Contribute to process improvement initiatives and automation opportunities.

Qualifications :

Previous Payments experience (minimum 1 year) A good understanding of UK and European Payment types Working knowledge of Word and Excel (preferable) 24 years experience in Accounts Payable preferably in financial services or global shared services. Strong knowledge of invoice processing accruals reconciliations and vendor management. Familiarity with payment types (BACS CHAPS SEPA SWIFT Faster Payments) and AP workflows. Proficiency in MS Excel and AP systems (ERP workflow tools). The ability to analyse model and interpret large datasets predominantly in Excel and to present the data in a meaningful manner. An awareness of the Financial Services sector and an understanding of Foreign exchange and share trading. Desirable - Knowledge of Inventory Management Systems and an understanding of access controls and system provisioning. Desirable - Familiarity of accrual based accounting. An inherent attention to detail with a methodical and logical approach to tasks. Good written and verbal communication skills Teamwork and collaborative thinking.
