Key Responsibilities
1. Pre-Sales & Solutioning (Utility Focused)
- Lead end-to-end solution design for utility customers across Generation, Transmission, Distribution (GTD), Retail, and Customer Service .
- Understand client business challenges such as outage management, metering, billing, grid modernization, field service, workforce management, asset performance , etc., and craft targeted solutions.
- Develop solution architectures, value propositions, and detailed technical write-ups tailored to utility operations.
2. RFP / RFI Response & Proposal Management
Own the creation of RFP / RFI responses for utility customers across NA, EMEA, and APAC.Prepare solution decks, proposal documents, SoW, estimations, and pricing models .Define win themes, use cases, accelerators , and differentiators specific to the utilities domain.3. Client Engagement & Presentations
Conduct client workshops, requirement discussions, and digital maturity assessments.Present LTIMindtree’s solutions, case studies, and domain capabilities in customer meetings.Act as a trusted advisor for utility customers , bridging business processes with digital solutions.4. Collaboration with Internal Teams
Work with SMEs from AMI / Smart Metering, Billing & CIS, GIS, Outage Management, Asset Management, Cloud, Data, and Analytics teams.Collaborate with industry partners like SAP, Oracle, Microsoft, ServiceNow, ESRI, AWS / Azure , etc., for joint solutioning.Coordinate with Delivery, Practice, and Sales teams to ensure feasibility and scalability of proposed solutions.5. Market Insights & GTM Support
Track utility industry trends :DER integration , EV charging , Grid modernization , Smart assets , Digital twins , AI / ML in utilities , etc.Contribute to GTM strategies , capability decks, solution frameworks, PoVs, and reusable assets.Required Skills & Experience
Domain Expertise
14-18 years of experience in Utilities consulting, pre-sales, or solution architecture .Knowledge of key utility processes :AMI / Smart MeteringMeter-to-Cash (Billing & CIS)Outage Management System (OMS)Asset & Workforce ManagementGrid & Network OperationsEnergy Efficiency & Regulatory ComplianceExperience in selling or solutioning IT / OT solutions for utility clients.Technical Skills
Understanding of at least one of the following :SAP IS-U , Oracle Utilities (CC&B, MDM, NMS),GIS (ESRI) ,SCADA / DMS ,Cloud Platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP),Data & Analytics for utilities.Ability to translate business challenges into technical solution architectures.Soft Skills
Excellent communication, presentation, and client-facing skills.Strong analytical, estimation, and commercial acumen.Ability to work under tight timelines for proposal submissions.
