As an Academic Operations Manager at Unacademy’s Vijayawada centre, you’ll oversee the end-to-end academic operations—offline. You'll ensure smooth delivery, manage educator coordination, support students, and drive process efficiency to deliver a top-tier learning experience.

Responsibilities

  • Academic Planning & Execution : Develop and oversee implementation of academic calendars, class schedules, exam timetables, and extracurricular programs, ensuring alignment with curriculum goals.
  • Process Optimization : Analyze current workflows, identify bottlenecks, and roll out SOPs to improve operational effectiveness across all functions.
  • Educator & Stakeholder Collaboration : Coordinate with educators regarding onboarding, scheduling, attendance tracking, classroom performance, and material preparation.
  • Student Experience Management : Serve as the primary touchpoint for student and parent queries about classes, assessments, and schedules; drive engagement and resolve issues promptly.
  • Centre & Classroom Operations : Manage day-to-day centre logistics—AV setup, classroom seating, technology, materials, attendance systems, and compliance with safety standards.
  • Assessment & Quality Assurance : Oversee coordination of tests, evaluations, result processing, and grade dissemination to ensure accuracy and timely delivery.
  • Data Analytics & Reporting : Track academic metrics (attendance, performance, feedback), analyze trends, and produce daily / weekly / monthly reports for leadership.
  • Team Leadership & Crisis Management : Supervise, mentor, and guide academic coordinators / associates. Provide leadership during disruptions to maintain operational continuity.

Qualifications

  • Education :
  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Master’s degree or certifications in Educational Leadership / Operations (a plus).
  • Experience :
  • 3–7 years in academic operations, preferably in EdTech or higher education.
  • Proven track record in educator coordination, scheduling, student services, and offline centre oversight.
  • Required Skills

  • Strong organizational, multitasking, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
  • Tech-savvy : comfortable with Google Sheets / Excel and quick to learn internal LMS / CRM systems.
  • Detail-oriented, data-driven.
  • Preferred Skills

  • Experience in EdTech or higher education.
  • Working Conditions :

    Full-time, based at Vijayawada centre.
