About the Job
The HR Manager will be responsible for leading and managing the full spectrum of human resource operations for our remote teams across India and Brazil. This includes recruitment, onboarding, performance management, HR compliance, and employee engagement for a growing freight forwarding and logistics organization.
This role is ideal for a proactive, detail-oriented HR professional with proven experience in remote workforce management , especially within international logistics or tech-enabled environments.
You will work closely with company leadership, operations, sales, and finance departments to ensure a high-performing, motivated, and well-structured team across multiple time zones.
This position is fully remote.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full-cycle recruitment process : job posting, screening, interviews, testing, and offer negotiation
- Coordinate remote onboarding and offboarding processes across multiple time zones
- Oversee employee relations, conflict resolution, and compliance with HR policies
- Maintain and optimize HR systems for performance tracking, attendance, and feedback
- Design and execute performance management processes, KPIs, and periodic evaluations
- Collaborate with department heads to understand staffing needs and resource planning
- Lead initiatives on employee retention, engagement, and well-being
- Ensure compliance with local labor laws (primarily India and Brazil)
- Prepare employment contracts and coordinate with legal / accounting teams
- Analyze and improve HR metrics related to turnover, hiring time, and productivity
Required Skills & Experience
Minimum 4 years of experience in an HR leadership role (remote, cross-border or logistics industry preferred)Proven experience in recruiting international talent for sales, operations, and technical teamsDeep understanding of Indian labor laws and exposure to international HR complianceStrong organizational and documentation skillsExperience using HR tools like Zoho People, BambooHR, Keka, or similarExcellent English communication skills, both written and verbalAbility to work independently, set priorities, and deliver consistent resultsStrong interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence to manage diverse, multicultural teamsPreferred
Experience working in the logistics or freight forwarding industryExposure to U.S. HR compliance or coordination with U.S.-based leadershipFamiliarity with global payroll or benefits coordinationUnderstanding of recruitment for technical / AI-enabled positionsExperience setting up performance management frameworks and OKRs
