Senior NOC Associate

What success looks like in this role :

Overview :

This role is for a Network Engineer for Network operations center supporting couple of our prestigious clients from Animal nutrition. The role requires the candidate to have good knowledge of computer operating systems, hardware & software. There are multiple technology stacks that the candidate will have an exposure to, hence intermediate level of knowledge on networking concepts would be critical to be successful in this role. The resource will need to have good verbal as well as written skills so as to communicate effectively with internal teams and account management stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities :

• Candidate should have an overall experience of 4 years
• Monitor network performance and integrity, reliability and ability to isolate a network issue to restore services
• Deep understanding of networking concepts like ping to test connectivity between hosts and debugging connectivity related issues.
• Good understanding of traceroute and applying it to troubleshoot issues pertaining to data flow and routing hops
• Medium to expert level understanding on routing & switching concepts
• Ability to learn networking concepts and apply them to troubleshoot client issues
• Operational understanding of Incident management, request management, change management and their applications
• Understanding of routers, switches and wireless devices and good troubleshooting acumen
• Work with assigned mentors to understand the operational deliverables and meet service level agreements
• Critical thinking and problem-solving approach would accelerate the learning trajectory and ensure desired outcomes from a Delivery standpoint
• Co-ordinate with 3rd party vendors / ISP's on issues that are out of our scope and ability to communicate effectively is key to success
• Communicate with extended team members and partner teams on following up of issues or collaborating on critical activities
• Conducting regular maintenance tasks such as Failover activities, installing / upgrading firmware / patches
