Currently House of Shipping is looking to identify a high caliber Senior SAP ABAP Developer to join our team.

Job purpose

The Senior SAP ABAP Developer is responsible for developing, enhancing, and maintaining the SAP TM / CSL (Transportation Management – Container Shipping Liner) product to ensure optimal performance and alignment with business needs. The role involves leveraging deep expertise in SAP ABAP programming and SAP TM / CSL functionalities to design, implement, and optimize solutions that support transportation management processes. The developer will ensure seamless integration with other SAP modules, troubleshoot complex technical issues, and deliver high-quality, scalable solutions.

Working closely with cross-functional teams, the Senior SAP ABAP Developer will provide technical leadership, ensure adherence to best practices, and contribute to the continuous improvement of the SAP system to meet evolving business requirements and drive operational efficiency.

Main tasks and responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and implement SAP ABAP programs and custom enhancements for the SAP TM / CSL product.
• Collaborate with functional consultants and business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.
• Conduct code reviews to ensure compliance with best practices, coding standards, and performance optimization.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to SAP TM / CSL, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
• Optimize and enhance existing SAP TM / CSL solutions to improve system performance, scalability, and functionality.
• Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentorship to junior developers, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented team environment.
• Stay current with the latest SAP technologies, tools, and industry trends to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
