Job Title :   PE Infrastructure / Cloud Migration Engineer

About the Role :

We are seeking a skilled Infrastructure / Cloud Migration Engineer to lead the migration of our VMware Cloud Director environment to Azure VMware Services using Zerto Site Recovery. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in cloud migration, disaster recovery, and virtualization technologies. This role requires a deep understanding of VMware and Azure platforms, as well as proficiency in using Zerto for seamless data replication and recovery.

Key Responsibilities :

Assess Current Infrastructure :  Evaluate the existing VMware Cloud Director environment to determine migration feasibility and identify potential challenges.

Develop Migration Plan :  Create a comprehensive migration strategy, including system design, architecture, and security considerations.

Execute Migration :  Lead the migration of applications, data, and infrastructure from VMware Cloud Director to Azure VMware Services using Zerto Site Recovery.

Monitor Progress :  Track and report on the progress of the migration, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption to business operations.

Stakeholder Collaboration :  Work closely with stakeholders to ensure business needs are met during and after the migration process.

Post-Migration Support :  Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting to address any issues that arise post-migration.

Optimization :  Identify and recommend opportunities for optimization and cost savings in the new cloud environment.

Documentation :  Maintain detailed documentation of the migration process, including procedures, configurations, and best practices.

Qualifications :

Education :  Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Experience :  Minimum of 5 years of experience in cloud migration, virtualization, and disaster recovery.

Technical Skills :

Proficiency in VMware Cloud Director and Azure VMware Services.

Experience with Zerto Site Recovery for data replication and disaster recovery.

Strong understanding of cloud computing technologies, data migration techniques, and security standards.

Soft Skills :  Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications :

Certifications in VMware and Azure technologies.

Experience with other cloud platforms such as AWS or Google Cloud.

Familiarity with network and storage technologies.
