Product Development Engineer

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Noora Health is seeking an experienced Product Development Engineer who will own end-to-end responsibility for development of our digital products for users across India, Bangladesh, Indonesia, and Nepal. This involves clear understanding of user needs while designing, developing and testing of new and existing features across our digital platforms. Our platforms are undergoing major changes to meet our current and future expansion plans, and you will have a significant role to shape them. You will collaborate extensively with designers, other engineers, medical professionals, implementation experts, and researchers to pilot and grow our platforms. Simultaneously, you will be an early part of a growing engineering team at Noora, helping set team processes and culture. Support the entire lifecycle of software development (concept, design, test, release, and post-release support). Develop robust, scalable, and secure backend services and APIs to support mobile and web applications. Design and implement efficient database structures, queries, and stored procedures to handle large volumes of data. Collaborate with frontend developers and UX designers to deliver well-architected, seamless products. Write clean, maintainable, and scalable code that is production-ready and well-tested. Maintain and enhance the codebase of existing projects; Diagnose and fix bugs that may be reported from time to time. Explore new backend technologies and frameworks to enhance the development process and product performance. Liaise with the product team to plan and develop new features for future products and releases. Use analytics tools and techniques to understand system performance and user behavior, and suggest improvements. Communicate actively with other team members on project details and other aspects.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR 4-8 years of experience in the software development sector (service / product) Demonstrated experience with backend development using languages like Javascript, Python, Java, or similar. Demonstrated experience with database management systems (SQL), data modeling, and query optimization. Experience with automated testing tools (like Jest, Mocha or other testing frameworks). Experience working with standard development tools like IDEs, command-line tools, version control systems, etc. 1+ yrs of experience in AI / ML and related technologies is preferred Familiarity with cloud platforms (like Google Cloud or similar) and deploying scalable backend services. Knowledge of deploying and managing applications on cloud platforms and monitoring their performance. An engineering degree in computer science, information science, or equivalent hands-on experience in programming. Strong leadership skills and ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders to see a product to completion. Ability to work with uncertainty and the ability to rapidly adapt to changes. Excellent communication skills.
