Aptus Data Labs - Lead Artificial Intelligence Engineer - NLP / RAG

Responsibilities :

• Drive the AI roadmap in alignment with the companys strategic objectives.
• Mentor junior AI engineers and data scientists, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
• Ensure compliance with ethical AI principles, including bias mitigation, model explain ability, and data privacy.
• Champion AI governance frameworks to align with internal and external regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with business leaders, product managers, and domain experts to identify high-impact AI opportunities.
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications and deliverable solutions.
• Architect scalable AI pipelines for production-grade applications.
• Optimize inference performance, model latency, and compute efficiency across cloud and edge environments.
• Implement robust model monitoring systems for drift detection, retraining, and feedback loops.
• Ensure AIOps / MLOps best practices for lifecycle management and versioning.
• Experience designing end-to-end AI solutions across multiple domains (e., computer vision, NLP, forecasting).
• Hands-on experience with vector databases, RAG architectures, prompt engineering, or agentic workflows (e., LangChain or LlamaIndex).
• Track and report on the business value generated by AI initiatives (ROI, efficiency gains, etc.
• Support in building business cases for AI investments.
• Designing and implementing AI and machine learning models to solve business problems.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver tailored AI solutions.
• Conducting research and prototyping new AI algorithms and techniques.
• Developing and maintaining AI models to improve performance and accuracy.
• Analysing and interpreting complex data sets to extract meaningful insights.
• Documenting and presenting technical solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Keeping up-to-date with the latest advancements in AI and machine learning technologies.
