The Opportunity :

OpenText looking for an experienced commercial lawyer to join the global legal team. Reporting to the General Counsel (APAC) based in Sydney, the Legal Counsel will be responsible for supporting all commercial and general corporate matters in India and South-East Asia territory including :

• drafting and negotiating a wide variety of commercial agreements (such as software, services, SaaS, and resellers agreements);
• managing commercial disputes;
• general corporate and company secretarial matters;
• providing legal advice on group transactions;
• managing external legal counsel and vendor engagements; and
• monitoring changes in laws and regulations.
