Senior Power Bi Developer

Position Summary

The Senior Power BI Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining business intelligence solutions that transform data into actionable insights. The role involves working closely with business stakeholders, data engineers, and analysts to create interactive dashboards, reports, and data models using Microsoft Power BI and related technologies within the Microsoft ecosystem (M365, Azure, SQL Server, etc.).

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy Power BI reports, dashboards, and data visualizations that meet business and technical requirements.
• Collaborate with business users to gather, understand, and document reporting requirements.
• Develop data models, DAX calculations, and measures to optimize performance and ensure data accuracy.
• Integrate Power BI with various data sources — SQL Server, Azure Data Lake, Excel, APIs, SharePoint, etc.
• Implement and manage data refresh schedules, security roles, and row-level security (RLS).
• Support and maintain existing BI solutions, ensuring reliability and performance optimization.
• Work with Azure Data Factory, Synapse, or other ETL tools for data ingestion and transformation.
• Provide guidance on data visualization best practices and self-service BI enablement for business teams.
• Ensure adherence to governance, data quality, and compliance standards.
• Mentor junior developers and support cross-functional analytics initiatives.
