Head of Contracts

The position exists with the objective of - - Implementation of executed RE Project contracts (EPC turnkey / Multi party split contracts / self-development sites) i.e. accurate interpretation, payments, efficient execution by mitigating the risk of commercial defaults under the contracts and safeguard as best possible on commercial risks identified during or prior to implementation. - Negotiation on deviation request of agreed terms in business interest and commercial settlements such as Liquidated Damages and carry costs under the Project contracts / Agreements and secure / support for requisite internal approvals as per the authority manual / matrix (CMAM) for the settlements. - Advising other functions on matters such as improvements in contracting structures, contract interpretation, asset insurance coverage, accounting interpretation, project finance covenants, etc. on the basis of experience from earlier contracts as well as understanding derived from ongoing contracts. - Maintain effective communication and coordination with internal & external (contractors, government agencies etc.) stakeholders for effective and efficient Contract Management. Ensuring it within the limits of organizational policy and guidelines. - Develop and manage the requisite team for ensuring support required for carrying out all related tasks. - Commercial Advisory – Support in managing commercial aspects of renewable business related to revenue, power purchase agreements etc. as and when business situation requires.

Educational Qualifications  Professional Qualifications such as LLB / BE / CA+ MBA etc

Functional Skills  Broad understanding of the Indian Power Industry with a knowledge of the power value chain  In depth understanding of power value chain from renewable sources and constant updations thereon.  Understanding of the financial sector – working of financial models, cash flows, taxation, project evaluation  Understanding of the Contracting Frameworks (EPC and O&M contracts, PPAs; their commercial and legal implications)  Understanding of the Regulatory framework (tariffs, taxation, insurance, financial markets, etc.)  Construction and Asset Management aspects  Understanding of implications of various financial, legal and technical aspects on the business  Latest developments in the power sector and industry.e

Relevant and total years of Experience  Overall experience : 7-10 Years  Specific experience : 5+ years in Infrastructure Sector
