We are seeking an experienced Construction Audit Consultant to join our construction audit consulting firm. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing individual construction audit assignments. Reporting to an audit lead of the firm in US, the Construction Audit will initiate, execute and assemble the construction review documentation identified by the team into one consolidated report with supporting data and backup to assess a contractor's compliance with contract terms on the project in question. The individual will likely manage multiple construction audit projects at the same time, so the ability to effectively prioritize assignments is essential.
Skills and Requirements :
- Bachelor's degree (B. Tech. minimum), M. Tech in construction or civil engineering, PMP certification is a plus.
- 3+ years of experience contract audit) ; applied in the construction industry is a plus
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel
- Excellent verbal and exceptional English written communication skills
- Ability to support Eastern Time Zone calls and working hours – as needed
Responsibilities :
Will be involved in Contract Administration, Planning, Billing, Coordination, Budgeting.Perform in-process and closeout transactional cost and billings reviews. Work with management, suppliers, and contractors to negotiate and facilitate cost recoveries.Utilize a risk-based approach to independently evaluate, plan, perform, summarize and communicate assigned risk assessments and audit activities.Perform risk assessments and assurance reviews, determining compliance with organizational policies and procedures and the effectiveness of controlsEngage with audit lead on a daily basis. Participate in interviews of contractors and their employees to support audit activities.Perform front-end construction bid package, proposal, and contract reviewsPerform in-process and closeout transactional cost and billings reviews . Work with management, suppliers, and contractors to negotiate and facilitate cost recoveriesEvaluate and recommend opportunities for cost saving and process improvement.Respond to and support client requests regarding internal control assessments, process and procedure evaluations, special investigations, and internal control educationUtilize data analysis techniques to evaluate and monitor financial and operational risksCoordinate implementation of corrective action plans including monitoring progress and completion, coordinating interviews and document gathering, and escalating issues as necessaryCharacteristics of a Successful Candidate :
