Accounts Receivable Manager

Position Overview :

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable (AR) Manager to oversee all aspects of the company’s AR processes. This role will be responsible for leading a team that manages customer billing, collections, cash application, dispute resolution, and reporting. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, experience with AR systems, and a passion for continuous process improvement.

Key Responsibilities :

Lead and manage the Accounts Receivable team, including setting priorities, managing performance, and developing team members.

Oversee billing, collections, and cash application processes to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with company policies.

Monitor customer accounts for outstanding balances and aging trends; implement collection strategies to improve DSO (Days Sales Outstanding).

Partner with internal teams such as Sales, Customer Service, and Legal to resolve customer disputes and billing issues.

Review and reconcile AR sub ledger to the general ledger and ensure accurate financial reporting.

Prepare and analyze AR aging reports, bad debt reserves, and collection forecasts for senior management.

Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.

Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities to drive efficiency and reduce risk.

Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules and providing documentation as needed.

Qualification & Experience Required :

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

5+ years of progressive experience in Accounts Receivable across American Multinationals, with at least 2 years in a managerial or          supervisory role.

Strong understanding of AR processes, internal controls, and financial reporting.

Proficiency with NetSuite or ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, or similar) and AR sub ledger modules is a prerequisite.

Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with AR automation tools.
