Payroll Specialist

Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Specialist to oversee and manage payroll processing and compliance. The ideal candidate should be proficient in end-to-end payroll operations, statutory compliance, and reconciliations. Experience with any Payroll / HRMS tool is required, and familiarity with tools like Zoho Payroll, SAP-HRMS, SAP-FICO, or Tally ERP will be considered a strong advantage.

Key Responsibilities :

• Execute monthly payroll processing for 1000+ employees accurately and on time.
• Manage statutory compliance for PF, ESI, PT, TDS, and Gratuity.
• Prepare and file payroll-related statutory returns including Form 16, 24Q, GSTR.
• Perform payroll & reconciliations, GL validation, and bank uploads.
• Handle employee full & final settlements and process salary components.
• Generate and analyze payroll MIS reports, variance analysis, and dashboards.
• Ensure accurate maintenance of employee records including DOJ, exit details, and statutory deductions.
• Liaise with finance, audit, and HR teams for payroll audits and queries.
• Ensure adherence to internal controls and statutory deadlines.

Required Skills : Proficiency in any payroll or HRMS software (e.g., Zoho Payroll, SAP-HRMS, Tally, GreytHR, Keka, etc.) Good knowledge of payroll compliance and statutory filings in India. Hands-on experience with MS Excel for data analysis and reporting. Strong analytical and reconciliation skills. Ability to manage high-volume payroll efficiently and accurately. Preferred Qualifications : B.Com / MBA (Finance / Accounting) or equivalent. Minimum 5 years of experience in payroll processing and compliance. Experience in manufacturing, IT, or service industries is a plus. Certifications like CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) or FPC (Fundamental Payroll) are a plus.
