About the Role : We are looking for a passionate and technically sound professional to join our R&D team as a Scientist - Reinforcement at our Palej Unit. In this role, you will drive innovation in rubber compound development and filler technology, contributing to our journey of excellence and sustainability. You will be instrumental in developing next-generation carbon black materials, ensuring regulatory compliance, and solving critical customer and process issues.
Responsibilities :
Innovation in Filler Technology : Develop novel grades of carbon black and other advanced fillers for diverse rubber applications.Rubber Compound Development : Formulate and optimize rubber compounds for tyre, non-tyre, and specialty applications. Use reverse engineering techniques to enhance performance.Sustainability & Compliance : Integrate sustainability into product and process design. Ensure compliance with industry regulations and identify opportunities for green innovation.Troubleshooting & Technical Support : Collaborate with internal teams and customers to resolve complex issues through data analysis, lab trials, and plant-level implementation.Lab Management : Oversee laboratory operations, including equipment maintenance and inventory control. Ensure best practices in lab management systems.Qualifications :
B.Tech / B.E. / M.Sc. in Rubber or Polymer Science & Technology (M.Tech preferred)3-6 years of relevant experience in rubber compound or filler developmentRequired Skills :
Strong understanding of carbon black, filler technology, and rubber testing methodologiesKnowledge of regulatory frameworks and sustainability practices in the rubber industryExcellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skillsHands-on experience in lab and pilot-scale trialsExposure to project management and design of experiments (DoE)Preferred Skills :
