Automation Test Engineer / Senior QA Engineer

We’re looking for a skilled Automation Engineer with a strong command of Java and experience in tools like Selenium and JavaScript to join our client, a global IT consulting firm serving industries such as insurance, healthcare, banking and financial services, media, retail, and others.

This is a 6-month contract role with the potential for extension, based in Sydney CBD . The position follows a hybrid work model , requiring 3 days in the office and allowing the rest of the week to be remote.

Key Responsibilities :

• Discover and implement automation opportunities within software testing, operations, and performance monitoring.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve issues within automated systems and processes.
• Develop efficient and reusable automation scripts that adhere to industry standards and security best practices.
• Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including automation designs, code documentation, and user guides.
• Perform code reviews, enforce coding standards, and provide constructive feedback to team members.
• Partner with stakeholders to identify and prioritize new automation opportunities that enhance business value.
• Continuously monitor automated systems to detect failures and performance issues, ensuring high availability and seamless operations.
