Petrocon Engineers & Consultants is looking for an experienced

Planning Engineer

with strong expertise in planning, scheduling, and project control for large-scale

Oil & Gas / Petrochemical / Refinery / Fertilizer

projects. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in managing planning activities for piping and structural disciplines.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain detailed

Level 3 / 4 construction & commissioning schedules.

Track

daily, weekly, and monthly

site progress.

Measure physical progress using

EVMS

or

Planned vs. Actual

methods.

Analyse schedule deviations and forecast slippages with mitigation strategies.

Coordinate with

engineering, construction, procurement & commissioning

teams.

Interface with subcontractors for schedule updates and work-front planning.

Lead and participate in

daily / weekly planning & coordination meetings.

Maintain baseline schedules and monitor impacts or changes.

Track scope changes and support

TIA / EOT claim preparation.

Prepare and update

S-curves, histograms, manpower / equipment / material KPIs.

Prepare accurate progress and performance reports for management.

Create and monitor

Project Plans, Daily Progress Reports (DPR), and Daily Manpower Reports (DMR).

Generate and analyse

project-level P&L statements.

Ensure integration of schedule with resource and cost plans.

Track team / discipline performance against planned schedules.

Must-Have Skills

BE / B. Tech in

Mechanical Engineering

10+ years

planning experience in Oil & Gas EPC / PMC projects (site-based preferred)

Expertise in

Primavera P6 ,

MS Project , and

MS Excel

Strong understanding of construction workflows, CPM, resource loading & project lifecycles

Experience in refineries, terminals, offshore, pipeline, or similar industrial projects

Excellent analytical, communication & coordination skills
