Position Summary :

We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer /   Sr. Data Engineer  with strong expertise in ETL development, Python programming, Google Cloud Platform (GCP) , and Ascend.io . The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable data pipelines, transforming raw data into actionable insights, and supporting our cloud-based analytics platforms.

Key Responsibilities :

Design, develop, and maintain robust ETL / ELT pipelines using Ascend.io , GCP native services, and Python.

Build reusable, optimized, and scalable data workflows to support analytics and business intelligence teams.

Collaborate with data analysts, engineers, and architects to ensure seamless data integration across platforms.

Ensure data quality, security, and compliance throughout the pipeline lifecycle.

Perform root cause analysis on data issues and resolve performance bottlenecks.

Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

3.5 to 6 years of experience in Data Engineering / ETL Development .

Hands-on expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) – especially BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub / Sub, Cloud Functions, Cloud Storage.

Proven experience with Ascend.io for building declarative pipelines and orchestration.

Strong programming experience in Python for data transformation, scripting, and automation.

Proficiency in SQL and data modeling techniques.

Experience with data governance, quality checks, and performance tuning of data systems.

Familiarity with Git , CI / CD pipelines, and Agile development environments.
