Job Summary :
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Linux Administrator to join our team. This role will be responsible for managing, securing, and optimizing Linux environments across multiple domains while supporting a variety of enterprise technologies. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise, automation skills, and a collaborative mindset to drive operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and manage Linux servers (CentOS, Rocky Linux, and Ubuntu).
- Apply system updates, patches, and security fixes using Red Hat Satellite Server, Ansible, and other tools.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex Linux OS–related issues, including performance, configuration, and system-level errors.
- Perform system upgrades, including migration of end-of-life Linux servers to supported versions.
- Implement and support security hardening and vulnerability remediation on Linux systems.
- Automate operational tasks through scripting (Shell, Bash, YAML, Ansible).
- Support integration with core IT services such as Active Directory, DNS, and SMTP.
- Collaborate in a multi-domain environment and support additional technologies such as Windows, VMware, and Proxmox.
- Provide support for CI / CD pipelines, including Jenkins, Bitbucket, and Jira.
- Work with monitoring and logging tools (Splunk, CheckMK, Datadog, or similar) to ensure system health and reliability.
- Participate in a 24 / 7 rotating shift schedule with on-call responsibilities.
Required Qualifications
Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in Linux administration.Strong expertise with Red Hat, CentOS, and Ubuntu Linux distributions.Solid troubleshooting and debugging skills for Linux operating systems and related services.Experience in system patching, upgrades, and lifecycle management.Good understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP / IP, DNS).Familiarity with public cloud platforms (AWS preferred, Azure a plus).Experience in automation and configuration management using scripting or Ansible.Knowledge of DevOps tools (Jenkins, Bitbucket, Jira) and CI / CD workflows.Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, multi-technology environment.Willingness to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and on-call rotations.Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.Excellent communication and documentation skills.Additional Skills
