What you'll do

• The role of the L2 Communications Technician is to handle the site installation or fault restoration, either alone or as a lead of junior L1 technicians, within a scope of work defined by project or operations management to a successful conclusion, proactively resolving situational problems across the range of Viasat services. The technician will have good practical knowledge of Viasat core services and technologies with site-related manufacturer equipment encompassing managed service, marine, & land satellite services, and of regionally variant services including LTE, fixed & stabilized LOS radio, and associated Rig Telecommunications systems;

a practical understanding of CE IP Network service with the ability to complete minor work independently and work under instruction for more advanced requirements. The right candidate will be expected to advance through independent study of technical materials and company-supplied in-house training courses.
