Requirements

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Python Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in backend development with hands-on experience in migrating legacy applications (specifically from Ruby on Rails to Python) integrating third-party systems implementing APIs and managing server-side operations.

Key Responsibilities :

Migration :

Migrate and refactor existing codebase from Ruby on Rails (RoR) to Python (preferably using Django or FastAPI).

API Development :

Design develop and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices to support frontend and external integrations.

Integrations :

Implement and maintain third-party integrations (payment gateways CRMs logistics APIs etc.).

Server-Side Development :

Manage and optimize server-side logic data models and performance tuning.

Code Quality & Maintenance :

Ensure high code quality follow best practices write unit tests and maintain documentation.

Collaboration :

Work closely with cross-functional teams including DevOps frontend developers and QA.

Troubleshooting :

Debug issues perform root cause analysis and implement effective solutions.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

5 years of professional experience in Python development

Strong knowledge of Python frameworks (Django FastAPI or Flask)

Experience in migrating applications from RoR or any other backend language to Python

Solid understanding of RESTful API design and development

Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL MySQL)

Familiarity with CI / CD Git Docker and basic server administration

Good understanding of software architecture and scalable systems

Ability to work independently and in a team environment

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Nice to Have :

Familiarity with RoR codebase and syntax

Experience with cloud platforms (AWS GCP Azure)
