About the Role

As a Senior Engineering Manager, Bhavin's Office, you will work closely with Bhavin, build and lead teams of Backend and Frontend Engineers, QA Engineers and work alongside rockstar Product teams, driving the execution of various zero to 1 Products.

We are proponents of leveraging best in breed AI tools in every step of the Software Engineering lifecycle - including creating Specs, writing Code, writing Tests, Development, Testing and Deployment using tools like Cursor / Windsurf / Copilot. This requires a very different engineering mindset comprising a lean team, of senior resources, that are hands-on and AI adept, resulting in ultra-rapid iteration cycles and fast output. You will own and oversee this unique approach to the product development lifecycle, from ideation to launch to success.

Additionally these products themselves are intended to embed AI as a first class citizen wherever relevant.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional teams comprising Backend, Frontend and QA Engineers.
• Drive end-to-end ownership of new products — architectural design, development and deployment.
• Champion an AI-first development lifecycle — using AI tools to accelerate spec writing, coding, testing, debugging, deployment, and monitoring.
• Build and maintain robust, scalable, cloud-native platforms using a robust stack including but not limited to :
• Backend : Java / Node.js
• Database : PostgreSQL on AWS RDS, MongoDB
• Messaging : Kafka
• Frontend : React, React Native, Flutter
• Ensure efficient deployment and operations leveraging AWS, CI / CD pipelines, containerization, and infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform / CDK).
• Operate with a lean team of senior, AI-adept, hands-on contributors , emphasizing rapid iteration and quick feedback loops over traditional long release cycles.
• Work closely with Product, Design, and other stakeholders to align tech execution with customer impact.
• Ensure the team adheres to strong engineering rigor , high quality standards, and secure coding practices while optimizing for delivery velocity.
