Job Description :
GITAM is looking for Assistant Professor of Human Resources to teach UG and PG courses, conduct research, and contribute to the academic community through service. This role requires a strong foundation in human resource management principles and practices, as well as the ability to engage students in both theoretical and applied learning.
Roles and Responsibilities :
- Teach courses related to human resource management, organizational behavior, labor relations, recruitment, compensation, training and development, employment law, and related topics.
- Develop and update curriculum to reflect current trends and best practices in HR.
- Conduct scholarly research and publish in peer-reviewed academic journals.
- Supervise student research projects, theses, and internships.
- Participate in departmental, college, and university committees.
- Advise and mentor students on academic and career development.
- Engage with the professional HR community and contribute to program accreditation efforts.
- Collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary initiatives and grant proposals.
Qualifications :
Ph.D. in Human Resource Management, Industrial / Organizational Psychology, Business Administration, or a closely related field (completed or near completion).Demonstrated potential for effective teaching at the undergraduate and graduate level.Commitment to research and publication in reputable academic journals.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
