Lead Software Development Engineer - Java / J2EE

Job Description :

Key Responsibilities :

• Lead the complete process of designing, developing, and deploying Java / J2EE applications
• Build systems that are scalable, reliable, and easy to maintain
• Help the team use modern tools, frameworks, and best development practices
• Work closely with business teams, product managers, and other architects to understand needs and plan solutions
• Review code and make sure it meets quality, performance, and security standards
• Fix major technical issues in different environments
• Be actively involved in Agile / Scrum meetings, and help in sprint planning and task estimation
• Support and guide junior and mid-level Skills & Qualifications :
• 8- 12 years of hands-on experience in Java development
• Strong knowledge of Java and J2EE technologies
• Good experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security, Hibernate / JPA
• Experience in building and using REST APIs, SOAP services
• Strong skills in SQL and working with relational databases like Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MySQL
• Basic knowledge of NoSQL databases (like MongoDB or Cassandra) is a plus
• Familiarity with messaging systems such as Kafka or RabbitMQ
• Experience working with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
• Good knowledge of CI / CD tools like Git, Jenkins, Maven, or Gradle
• Understanding of microservices architecture, event-driven systems, Docker containers, and Kubernetes
• Experience with application performance tuning and designing systems that can handle large user traffic
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Good communication skills (both verbal and written)
• Problem-solving mindset with the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
