Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and qualified individual to join our department as an Assistant Professor in Biomedical Engineering . Key Responsibilities
1. Teaching and Mentoring
- Deliver lectures, seminars, and practical sessions in Biomedical Engineering and related disciplines.
- Develop and update course materials, syllabi, and lesson plans to align with industry standards and academic requirements.
- Guide and mentor undergraduate and postgraduate students in academic projects, research, and career development.
- Evaluate student performance through assignments, exams, and projects, providing constructive feedback.
2. Research and Innovation
Conduct cutting-edge research in Biomedical Engineering and publish findings in reputed journals and conferences.Secure research grants and funding from government, industry, and other sources.Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and industry partners to advance research and innovation.Supervise student research projects and theses at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.3. Academic and Administrative Duties
Participate in curriculum development and program accreditation processes (e.g., NBA, NAAC).Contribute to departmental meetings, committees, and academic planning.Assist in organizing workshops, seminars, and conferences to promote academic and research activities.Support student recruitment, placement, and alumni engagement initiatives.4. Professional Development
Stay updated with the latest advancements in Biomedical Engineering and incorporate them into teaching and research.Attend and present at national and international conferences, workshops, and training programs.Build collaborations with academic institutions, research organizations, and industry partners.Qualifications and Skills
Essential :
Ph.D. (preferable) in Biomedical Engineering or a closely related field from a recognized institution.Masters degree in Biomedical Engineering or a relevant discipline with a strong academic record.Minimum of 2-3 years of teaching and / or research experience (post-Ph.D. preferred).Demonstrated expertise in areas such as biomedical instrumentation, biomaterials, medical imaging, biomechanics, or bioinformatics.Strong publication record in peer-reviewed journals and conferences.Desirable :
Experience in securing and managing research grants.Familiarity with accreditation processes (e.g., NBA, NAAC) and quality assurance in higher education.Proficiency in using software tools and technologies relevant to Biomedical Engineering.Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
