Role Details
St James school offers an opportunity for a motivated person to join our team.
This is a part-time, permanent position, working Monday, Tuesday and Friday.
Applicants will be required to have :
- Commitment to upholding the ethos and values of a Catholic education, including maintaining confidentiality and demonstrating compassion and inclusivity.
- Demonstrated ability or willingness to work collaboratively with classroom teachers to support the learning and wellbeing of all students, including providing one-on-one or small group assistance to those with diverse or additional learning needs as directed.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build positive relationships with students, staff, and families within a Catholic school community.
- Capacity to follow individual learning and behaviour support plans, with a flexible and patient approach to working with students with disabilities or learning difficulties.
- Understanding of, or willingness to develop knowledge of, personal care practices and the ability to assist students with dignity and respect when required.
- A willingness to assist teachers with student supervision during excursions, school events and yard duty, as required.
The successful applicant will be required to :
Have a current HLTAID012 First Aid certificate or be prepared to obtain.Have a current Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education and Care (RRHAN-EC)Have a current and acceptable Working with Children Clearance.Undergo our required screening processes.Have completed or be willing to complete Continence Care training.Are you following us on LinkedIn & Facebook?
