Role Overview
We are looking for a Business Manager – IT Contract Staffing (Domestic) to drive strategic growth and client acquisition in the Indian IT contract staffing market. This is a leadership role for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, has a solid foundation in IT recruitment, and brings a strong network of decision-makers from product-based, enterprise, or fast-growing tech clients.
The ideal candidate must be business-driven, delivery-aware , and have a deep understanding of the IT domestic contract staffing landscape in India. They will be responsible for client relationship management, account expansion, delivery partnership, and team collaboration .
Key Responsibilities
- Own the P&L for assigned accounts and geographies within the Indian IT contract staffing business.
- Identify, engage, and win new mid-to-large clients in the tech space (especially product-based and digital-first firms).
- Collaborate closely with Delivery Managers, Market Directors, and Talent Leads to ensure aligned execution and client satisfaction.
- Build and maintain strong CXO and HR stakeholder relationships through regular interaction and consultative selling.
- Monitor industry trends, client demand, and hiring cycles to identify and pursue high-growth business opportunities.
- Develop, manage, and mentor a team of account executives or sales partners aligned to business targets.
- Partner with internal recruitment teams to ensure timely fulfillment of open mandates and address delivery gaps.
- Drive account farming, cross-selling, and upselling of contract staffing services across IT verticals.
- Lead pricing, proposal discussions, SoW negotiations, and contract closures.
- Regularly report business metrics, forecast growth, and identify areas for strategic investment.
Must-Have Qualifications
Over 12 years of experience in the Indian IT staffing industry, including 6 years of hands-on delivery expertise and 8 years in client-facing and business development leadership roles.Proven experience in winning and growing contract staffing business with product-based or enterprise clients .Deep understanding of the IT domestic market, hiring trends, and delivery challenges .Demonstrated ability to collaborate with delivery teams to ensure client needs are met.Strong understanding of contractual models, pricing strategies, and onboarding processes in the Indian market.Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.Ability to manage multiple client accounts and high-value pipelines.Proficiency in tools like Sales Navigator, CRM platforms, and market intelligence tools .Preferred Qualifications
Background in IT Recruitment or Delivery is highly preferred.Engineering or technical academic background is a plus.Understanding of ATS / CRM systems (e.g., Bullhorn, CEIPAL ) is advantageous.Exposure to consultative sales or solution-oriented staffing will be an edge.Important Note – Role Eligibility
This role is strictly focused on the IT Domestic Contract Staffing industry . Applicants with only international staffing, permanent hiring, or non-IT industry sales experience will not be considered. Familiarity with IT is helpful, but direct and relevant experience in the Indian contract staffing space is mandatory .
