Alphastream - Senior Applied Scientist - Machine Learning

About the Role :

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Applied Scientist with over 12 years of real-time expertise in cutting-edge machine learning and AI technologies.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of large language models (LLMs), information retrieval, information extraction, and advanced ranking algorithms, alongside the ability to operationalize AI solutions and maintain high performance.

As a Senior Applied Scientist, you will be responsible for building and enhancing AI-driven products, optimizing data pipelines, and mentoring a high-performing team.

Key Responsibilities :

• LLM Development : Lead the pre-training and fine-tuning of large language models (LLMs) to optimize performance for specific use cases.
• Information Retrieval, Extraction & Classification : Develop and implement techniques for retrieving, extracting, classifying, and ranking large-scale datasets using advanced algorithms and vector databases.
• AI Operationalization : Ensure AI models are effectively deployed in production environments, focusing on performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Data Pipeline Creation : Design, build, and maintain robust data pipelines to streamline the flow of data for AI applications.
• Data Curation : Lead efforts in data collection, cleaning, and curation to ensure high-quality datasets for machine learning models.
• Algorithm Development : Innovate and enhance ranking algorithms to improve the quality and relevance of search and recommendation systems.
• Performance Optimization : Continuously monitor and fine-tune model performance to meet the highest standards of accuracy, speed, and efficiency.
• Mentorship : Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to junior team members to foster a collaborative and growth-oriented environment.
