Key Responsibilities :

o Understanding of security best practices and experience in implementing security measures on Linux systems.

o Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to quickly identify and resolve technical issues.

o Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability and reliability of Linux-based infrastructure.

o Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement Linux-based solutions that meet business needs.

o Implement and maintain security measures to protect Linux systems from unauthorized access and ensure compliance with industry regulations.

o Perform regular system backups and disaster recovery procedures to minimize data loss and maintain business continuity.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• Experience : 7+ years of dedicated experience as a ZLinux Administrator .
• OS Knowledge : Strong proficiency in Linux operating systems ( Red Hat , CentOS, or Ubuntu).
• Z-System Skills : Demonstrated experience with zVM Virtualization Environment and x360s zLinux Architecture .
• Scripting : Proficient in Linux CLI and Shell Scripting .
• Networking : Familiarity with networking concepts, protocols, and services.
• Modernization : Knowledge of Cloud platforms, such as AWS or Azure , is highly advantageous.
• Soft Skills : Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and communication skills to interact effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Technical and Professional Experience

o Strong communication skills to effectively communicate technical concepts and solutions to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

o Strong understanding of server hardware and experience in server management.

o Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls to ensure proper system security and data integrity.

o Collaborate with software developers and system analysts to troubleshoot and resolve software compatibility issues on Linux platforms.
