Cloud Security Engineer - AWS

Example Responsibilities :

• Collaborate with the infrastructure team to identify and fill gaps in our cloud infrastructure.
• Build, promote and scale DevSecOps across the company and enable integration of tools and practices.
• Work with the DevOps team to identify security gaps in our processes and implement appropriate solutions.
• Build security tooling and automation.
• Improve processes for managing secure infrastructure as code and container security.
• Deploy security services and tools through Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and promote the culture of security as code.
• Conduct periodic security assessments and configuration reviews of cloud environments.
• Identify critical security risks and drive mitigation with engineering and Qualifications :
• 4+ years of experience on a security team.
• Strong familiarity with Linux operating systems and cloud ecosystems like Amazon AWS, GCP.
• Experience in implementing secure infrastructure as code.
• Experience in container-based architecture and deployments (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Understanding of core AWS Cloud Services (e.g. EC2, DynamoDB, API Gateway, RDS, Lambda, CloudFront, CloudFormation, CloudWatch, Route 53).
• Knowledge of microservices programming (e.g. AWS Lambda, Docker).
• Strong understanding of networking concepts including TCP / IP, HTTP, TLS, DDoS detection / prevention, network and host anomaly detection.
• Experience with CI / CD automation tools (e.g. AWS DevOps, Github Actions, Jenkins).
• Experience with configuration management tools (Terraform, Ansible).
• Ability to communicate well and present security threats and risks to engineering teams.
• Self-motivated; able to work independently on new initiatives.
