The Role
An opportunity is available for an experienced Project Officer to join a high-performing team delivering a large-scale ICT and business reform initiative. This 12-month contract role, based in the Adelaide CBD, is ideal for a detail-oriented and organised professional with strong coordination skills and experience in technology projects.
The role will see you contributing to the successful planning, administration, and execution of a key program of work, supporting both technical and business outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Provide efficient and effective project support to senior project managers and team members
- Prepare and maintain documentation such as status reports, financial tracking, Gantt charts, and schedules
- Coordinate meetings, take minutes, follow up on actions, and manage version-controlled document repositories
- Support procurement, budget, and administrative processes in accordance with government guidelines
- Use project management and collaboration tools (MS Project, MS365, SharePoint, DevOps, JIRA) for workflow, reporting, and tracking
- Communicate clearly and professionally with technical staff, stakeholders, and leadership groups
- Contribute to project risk management and support continuous improvement activities
You are an experienced project support professional who thrives in structured, fast-paced environments. You bring initiative, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities confidently.
To be successful, you will have :
At least 3 years’ experience in project support, coordination or administration rolesStrong understanding of project delivery methodologies (e.g. PMBoK, Prince2) and the software development lifecycleProficiency with MS Excel (including advanced functions), MS Project, and other digital planning and collaboration toolsDemonstrated ability to coordinate meetings, capture accurate minutes and actions, and maintain project documentationExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalHigh levels of integrity, discretion, and professionalismExperience working in or alongside government or large-scale public sector programs is desirableA current National Police Check (NPC) is essential for this roleBenefits
