Our client, a global management consulting firm, is supporting a large-scale port and mining infrastructure development project in Liberia for a major resources-sector player. As part of this transformation program, they are seeking an experienced Mining & Port Operations Consultant with strong expertise in supply chain, spares management, and warehousing
In this critical role, you will design and implement best-practice processes to manage the seamless flow of materials, spare parts, and consumables between mining and port operations. Your work will directly enable the client to achieve safe, reliable, and cost-efficient operations in one of West Africas most significant port developments
Key Responsibilities :
- Assess and design end-to-end supply chain processes for mining and port integration
- Develop robust warehousing and inventory management systems for spare parts and critical consumables
- Optimize procurement, storage, and distribution flows to minimize downtime and costs
- Collaborate with client teams, contractors, and port / mine operations to align supply chain objectives
- Identify potential risks or bottlenecks across logistics, customs clearance, and inventory, and develop mitigation plans
- Provide training and knowledge transfer to on-site teams on best practices and systems
Your Background :
5 to 15 years of experience in supply chain or logistics management within mining, port, steel, or heavy industry environmentsProven experience in spares management, warehouse setup, and inventory controlStrong knowledge of supply chain processes, ERP / WMS systems (SAP / MM preferred), and international logisticsBachelors degree in industrial engineering, supply chain, operations, or related fieldSkilled in stakeholder management across multicultural and cross-functional teamsFamiliarity with health, safety, and environmental regulations in industrial logisticsOther Information :
This is a contractual opportunity of a duration of 6-9 monthsThe role requires full-time on-site presence in Liberia, with a work cycle of six weeks on-site followed by two weeks in India.
