Account Manager
Team : Indian Stores - Category Brand Management
We are looking for an analytical and customer-obsessed Account Manager to join our Indian Stores team, working with strategic category brands to drive growth and selection on Amazon.in. This role requires a blend of business development, relationship management, and data-driven decision-making in a fast-paced marketplace environment.
A Day in the Life
The successful Account Manager will manage a portfolio of category brands, developing deep relationships with brand partners and driving commercial growth. You will work closely with sellers and brand partners to ensure the widest selection at competitive pricing, guide them on day-to-day operations, help identify growth opportunities, enable faster delivery options, and train them on using Amazon tools efficiently. You will navigate ambiguity in a dynamic marketplace environment and work effectively with cross-functional teams including Category Management, Operations, Marketing, Finance, and Product teams.
IN Stores - Category Management
The IN Stores team runs the Amazon India marketplace, one of the fastest-growing e-commerce platforms in the country. Our Category Management and Account Management teams work together to manage categories end-to-end, working closely with sellers and brand partners to deliver the best customer experience. We are passionate about helping Indian and international brands succeed on Amazon.in and reach millions of customers across India.
Key Job Responsibilities
Manage relationships with an existing portfolio of category brands (Small, Medium & Large Enterprises)
Drive business growth by identifying opportunities to expand selection, improve pricing competitiveness, and enhance brand presence on Amazon.in
Monitor performance metrics and retention of brand accounts, taking proactive actions to address issues
Serve as the primary point of contact for brand partners, fostering strong, collaborative relationships and understanding their business needs, challenges, and goals
Guide brands on catalog management, pricing strategies, promotional opportunities, advertising options, and fulfillment solutions (FBA)
Analyze sales data, traffic patterns, and conversion metrics to provide actionable insights and recommendations to brand partners
Collaborate with Category Managers to develop category strategies and execute joint business plans with key brands
Train brand partners on Amazon seller tools, advertising platforms, and best practices
Negotiate commercial terms and promotional investments with brand partners
Work cross-functionally with Marketing, Operations, and Product teams to resolve issues and improve brand partner experience
Basic Qualifications
A degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related field
Min 2 years of relevant experience in account management, sales, or business development in a fast-paced environment
Relevant experience working with Excel and databases in a professional environment
Relevant experience in using data analytics to solve problems such as customer, partner, or business performance issues
Strong understanding of e-commerce or retail business models
Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets or business goals

Experience in e-commerce, marketplace management, or retail category management
Experience working with FMCG, consumer electronics, fashion, or other major retail categories
Experience with brand management or working with brand partners in India
Master's degree or MBA from a premier institution
Strong business acumen, negotiation skills, and ability to influence stakeholders
Familiarity with Amazon Seller Central, Vendor Central, or advertising platforms
Understanding of Indian consumer behavior and regional market dynamics
Experience managing P&L or business metrics
