Job description

Mandatory Skills

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in data science, machine learning, or applied statistics.
  • Proficiency in  Python  or  R , and hands-on experience with libraries such as  scikit-learn, pandas, numpy, XGBoost, TensorFlow / PyTorch .
  • Solid understanding of  machine learning algorithms , statistical inference, and data mining techniques.
  • Strong SQL skills; experience working with large-scale databases (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift).
  • Experience with data visualization tools like  Power BI ,  Tableau , or  Plotly .
  • Working knowledge of cloud platforms like  AWS, Azure, or GCP  is preferred.
  • Familiarity with  MLOps  tools and model deployment best practices is a plus

Job Description (JD)

We are seeking an experienced Data Scientist to join our growing analytics and AI team. This role will involve working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver actionable insights, build predictive models, and drive data-driven decision-making across the organization.

The ideal candidate is someone who combines strong analytical skills with hands-on experience in statistical modeling, machine learning, and data engineering best practices.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Understand business problems and translate them into data science solutions.
  • Build, validate, and deploy machine learning models for prediction, classification, clustering, etc.
  • Perform deep-dive exploratory data analysis and uncover hidden insights.
  • Work with large, complex datasets from multiple sources; perform data cleaning and preprocessing.
  • Design and run A / B tests and experiments to validate hypotheses.
  • Collaborate with data engineers, business analysts, and product managers to drive initiatives from ideation to production.
  • Present results and insights to non-technical stakeholders in a clear, concise manner.
  • Contribute to the development of reusable code libraries, templates, and documentation.
  • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Exposure to time series analysis, NLP, or deep learning techniques.
  • Experience working in domains like healthcare, fintech, retail, or supply chain.
  • Understanding of version control (Git) and Agile development methodologies.
