Job Summary :

A Vendor Manager for interior design is responsible for working with vendors to ensure a reliable supply of high-quality products and services and for maintaining good relationships with vendors.

• Vendor selection : Determine which vendors are best suited to the companys needs and consider factors like their facilities reach and location.
• Negotiating contracts : Negotiate contracts to get the desired pricing.
• Maintaining relationships : Maintain good relationships with vendors throughout the companys use of their products and services.
• Communicating with vendors : Communicate with vendors to ask questions about products or prices.
• Inspecting products : Visit vendors to inspect their products.
• Analysing vendors : Analyse multiple vendors to decide which to use for a particular product.
• Providing leadership : Provide leadership over purchasing agents and buyers.
• Mediating : Ensure harmonious ties between the company and its vendors.
• Planning : Determine how suppliers can integrate with the companys objectives.
• Cost controls : Use increased visibility to control costs and negotiate rates rationally.
