ServiceNow Implementation & Platform Specialist
These two roles are focused on broader ServiceNow platform implementation, major version upgrades, cloning, and providing comprehensive technical guidance to clients across various modules.
Responsibilities :
- Assist in the design, development, and implementation of diverse ServiceNow modules such as ITSM, ITOM (including Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management), Integrations, and CMDB, ensuring adherence to best practices.
- Demonstrable experience in planning, executing, and validating ServiceNow Platform Upgrades and Cloning processes, including post-clone activities and troubleshooting.
- Work closely with clients and stakeholders to thoroughly understand their business requirements and provide expert technical guidance, solutioning, and advisory services.
- Develop and configure a wide array of ServiceNow components, including workflows, business rules, client scripts, UI policies, UI actions, script includes, notifications, and various integrations (e.g., REST, SOAP, custom integrations).
- Conduct rigorous testing and validation of ServiceNow solutions, including unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing, to ensure they meet specified business requirements and quality standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to various ServiceNow modules, providing timely and effective support to clients and ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
- Create and maintain comprehensive and high-quality technical documentation for ServiceNow solutions, including design specifications, configuration guides, integration documentation, and troubleshooting procedures.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including project managers, business analysts, other developers, and quality assurance, to ensure seamless integration and data flow across different ServiceNow modules and external systems.
- Stay current with the latest ServiceNow updates, releases, new features, and best practices to ensure optimal solution delivery and platform utilization.
Required Skills & Experience :
Broad experience across multiple ServiceNow modules (e.g., ITSM, ITOM, CMDB).Specific hands-on experience with ServiceNow platform upgrades and cloning.Strong client-facing skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.Proficiency in scripting (JavaScript, GlideRecord) and integration methods within ServiceNow.General Requirements for All Positions :
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.Minimum of 5 years of proven, hands-on experience as a ServiceNow Developer.Strong understanding of the ServiceNow platform architecture, data model, and development best practices.Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, XML, and GlideRecord.Extensive experience with ServiceNow integrations using various methods (e.g., REST APIs, SOAP, JDBC, MID Server scripting).Experience with database concepts and SQL.ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) or Certified System Administrator (CSA) is highly preferred.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced, agile environment.Proactive attitude with a commitment to continuous learning and staying updated with ServiceNow advancementsref : hirist.tech)
